Auditions: Garden Street Players "Waiting for Godot"

AUDITION NOTICE: The Garden Street Players are seeking non-Equity actors for Waiting for Godot, Samuel Beckett's classic about two tramps waiting for the ambiguous Godot. Auditions will be held Wednesday, August 1st, at 7:00pm at Garden Street School of the Performing Arts at 1018 Washington Street, 2nd Floor, in Hoboken, NJ. Performance dates are TBA (Fall). Rehearsals will be Monday and Wednesdays evenings with additional rehearsals as needed. Character Breakdown: Vladimir – A tramp. Friend to Estragon. Talkative, tends to take charge. Estragon – A tramp. Friend to Vladimir. Interested in sleeping, forgetful. Pozzo – Master to Lucky. Self-satisfied in the first act, blind and pathetic in the second act. Lucky – Slave to Pozzo. Thinks and dances in the first act, dumb in the second act. Boy (or girl) – Announces at the end of each act that Godot is not coming, but he might come the next day. All roles are open. We are also seeking an Assistant Director. Both male and female actors are encouraged to audition.
