The New Jersey Chapter of Women for Wine Sense was formed in October 2005 in Hoboken, NJ.
WWS is a not-for-profit organization which seeks to educate the community on wine, provides scholarships to support women pursuing education and careers in wine and also raise funds and make donations in support of local and national charities.
Women and men are welcome to join. We host monthly events around the Garden State that appeal to people's varying interests in all aspects of wine, including the wine business.
We have had many fun and successful events that include a tour of a wine making facility, various themed wine tastings, and wine and food pairing dinners with various cuisines. Our dedicated officer team constantly comes up with new and enjoyable ways to experience wine and meet people.
We are committed to bringing informative, educational and fun wine events to everyone who wants to learn more about wine and enjoy it too!
We offer several levels of membership from students to professionals.

For February we wanted to get back to our roots as a wine education group and offer a blind tasting event.
So you think you're a wine expert with the palate of Robert Parker? We'll see about that! Over the course of the evening you will be presented with 4 pairs of wines. Each pair will be the same grape variety. As a side note, it is always a grape variety, and a wine made from a single grape variety is known as a varietal wine. See the education never ends! It will be up to you to determine the grape and the price point of the wine.
This is a unique opportunity to explore your palate, figure out what wine works for you and what you are truly looking for in a wine.
With the focus on fun and education we will be covering each pair and providing tasting sheets, notes and regional information on all the wines.
Light appetizers will be served.
